A popular shopping centre carnival will be hosting an 'out of this world' Easter egg hunt next month.

The Galactic Carnival at Silverburn Shopping Centre will be hosting the hunt from Friday, April 7 until Sunday, April 9 at the intergalactic-themed fairground.

Families and other attendees will be hunting down chocolate easter eggs, which will be hidden in and around the unlimited ride wristband attraction.

Barrhead News:

Along with the Easter egg hunt, the popular carnival will host a wide range of rides suitable for thrillseekers of all ages, including two new rides, AtmosFear and SkyDiver just in time for the Easter Holidays.

Height restrictions apply to all rides and under-12s need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Douglas Taylor, Global Events and Attractions event organiser, said: "Easter weekend is a fantastic time to get out and about with the family, and what better way to spend it than to indulge in a little ‘space exploration’ here at Galactic Carnival.

"We’ve got an array of rides that are suitable for thrill-seekers of all ages, so it really is perfect for the whole family.

"As if that wasn’t enough, we’re launching our easter egg hunt just in time for Easter weekend which we’re hoping will be absolutely smashing."

Tickets are expected to sell out over the Easter holidays, so visitors are advised to book in advance.

Ticket prices are based on height rather than age.
