GREEN-FINGERED staff at a fitness centre in East Renfrewshire organised a litter pick earlier this month to celebrate a company milestone.

The event brought together the local community in Clarkston for a litter pick on Saturday, March 11 to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the first Anytime Fitness gym opening in Scotland.

The gym, which is located on Busby Road, worked alongside the council to organise a team of volunteers, including staff members and members of the community, to clean up the streets.

The litter pick was part of a nation-wide celebration, with all Anytime Fitness gyms across Scotland taking part.

Josh McDonald, Club Manager at Anytime Fitness Clarkston, said: “Ten years of Anytime Fitness in Scotland is a fantastic milestone and we wanted to celebrate by giving back to the communities that have helped us grow over the past decade.

“It was great to see so many people from the local community come to support us and as you can see by the number of full bin bags we collected, the impact has been fantastic.”
