Families can have a cracking time this Easter by taking part in a fun event at Dams to Darnley Country Park.

The beauty spot will host an Easter Bunny Bash on Sunday, April 9, with people of all ages invited to take part.

There will be a range of themed activities to enjoy, including an Easter egg trail.

The free event takes place from 1pm until 4pm and is just part of a packed programme lined up for visitors to the country park over the coming months.

Other highlights include the Friday Night Frogs event, to be held on Friday, April 14, from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.

A spokesperson said: “Come creep around the park’s ponds with the Countryside Ranger to (hopefully) hear the chorus of amphibians and spot frogs, toads and newts.

“Learn about their fascinating lives and importance to us.”

Nature loves can also find out more about the wonderful world of trees by taking part in the Folklore, Fables & Fun event on Saturday, May 13, from 1pm until 4pm.

Those who go along will learn all about the park’s trees, including their uses and ancient applications, as well as hearing of the folklore and fables associated with them.

For the kids, there will be the chance to take bark rubbings and collect leaves.
