TWO teenagers have been charged in connection with alleged break-ins at homes in East Renfrewshire after they were arrested in England.

Police confirmed the male suspects, aged 15 and 17, were traced south of the border as officers investigated incidents at properties in Struma Drive and Carrick Crescent, in Clarkston, on Thursday morning.

A spokesperson said a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and both teenagers are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.

Officers also said that all items allegedly taken from the properties, including a car and an e-bike, have been recovered.
