A MAJOR retailer with a store at Silverburn is lining up administrators, reports Sky News.
It is believed that stationery chain Paperchase is searching for a new buyer and has put a professional services firm on standby to handle a potential insolvency.
The retailer also has stores in Buchanan Street, in Glasgow City Centre, and at Braehead shopping centre, in Renfrew.
A brand-new store opened on Byres Road in the West End in December 2022.
Sky News reports that sources say Paperchase is continuing to seek a solvent rescue deal.
In January 2021, Paperchase secured a rescue deal which preserved around 1,000 jobs and the majority of stores after tumbling into administration.
