A local home care company is celebrating the success of its 'Be a Santa' gifting campaign for older residents.

Home Instead Renfrewshire & Barrhead set up collections points across the community, including at its office in Paisley.

Local residents could drop off presents to be gifted to older people who may otherwise not have received anything during the festive period.

The company received lots of generous donations from members of the public, with over 150 gifts wrapped.

The presents were delivered to isolated people in the local area as part of the Festive Friends Campaign, organised by St Mirren Football Club.

Paul Armstrong, owner of Home Instead Renfrewshire & Barrhead, said: "We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received for our 'Be a Santa' campaign.

"As active members of the community we feel that it’s important to give back, especially at a time which can be difficult for many.

"It has been amazing to see the community rally together for such a great cause. Thank you to everyone who got involved."
