A popular Italian restaurant shocked customers after announcing 'with great sadness' that they have been forced to close.
San V Southside in Newton Mearns will mark their final night trading on New Years' Eve before closing 'forever'.
A combination of the cost-of-living crisis, 'crazy' energy bills, and a lack of staff were all factors in the forced closure of the business.
A spokesperson wrote in a Facebook post: "It's with great sadness that San V is having to announce this but due to crazy energy bills, the cost of living, lack of staff and to top it all off a landlord that's demanding legal action for a roof, San V will be closing forever after the 31/1/23.
"So as thanks and big goodbye to all of our lovely loyal customers on New Year's Eve from 12 to 1am all classic cocktails will be £5 and there are still some tables left for dinner and funk soul DJ 1am license.
"Thanks all again it's been a great 1 and a half years and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all it's been a pleasure xxxxx."
