Motorists are being warned to expect delays as diversions are put in place for two months while roadworks are carried out near Barrhead.
A section of Barrhead Road (B762) is to be closed to traffic from the roundabout at Braidcraft Road/Peat Road to the junction with Cornalee Road from January 9.
The closure is expected to be in place until early March to enable water pipe installation work to be carried out.
Traffic will be diverted via Peat Road and Nitshill Road, with drivers advised to allow extra time for their journey.
A spokesperson for Scottish Water told the Barrhead News: "We apologise for any inconvenience and thank affected road users in advance for their patience and understanding."
