Residents got into the Christmas spirit as they turned out to enjoy last Sunday’s festivities in Neilston.
The fun began with stalls, treats and the opportunity to meet Santa in Neilston Parish Church Halls, as well as singing by the community choir.
Neilston Pipe Band then led the parade down to the tree ahead of the Christmas lights switch on with Santa.
Matt Drennan, the secretary of Neilston War Memorial Association (NWMA) who made the event possible along with Neilston Parish Church and friends, said: “The event was very well supported. The children loved getting their first sighting of Santa walking in the pipe band parade.
“Many thanks to the pipe band and and all of the supporters of this event who helped make this night such a great success.
“Also thanks to Police Scotland for their help during the short parade. Feedback from the officers was very kind.
“They thought the event was wonderful and the joy on the little kids’ faces watching the parade seconded this.”
