Joesef has announced an 'intimate' Glasgow show to celebrate the release of his debut album next year.

The local singer, who was brought up in the city's Garthamlock, will perform for a cosy crowd at Monorail Music on Monday, January 13 the same week that Permanent Damage is released.

The news comes after it was revealed that Joesef will soon take to the stage to support Paolo Nutini at his eagerly anticipated OVO Hydro gig on Friday, December 16.

Next year, the 26-year-old star will take on yet another iconic Glasgow venue when he closes his UK headline tour ar the Barrowland Ballroom in March.

Known for his soulful voice and deeply personal lyrics he previously said of his work: “When I hear people singing and I don’t buy it, it doesn’t move me.

"That’s your job as a musician, to move people, and give them music they can make their own and attach their own feelings to.

"That’s why and how I love music.

"A song can make my day, or ruin it. I love that."
