A detached family home in East Renfrewshire has been named one of the top three new build properties in Britain.

The Stewart Garden Room, which is located in Southfield Grange, Newton Mearns and built by Robertson Homes, was awarded the accolade by judges at the WhatHouse? Awards 2022.

Dubbed the "housebuilding Oscars", the awards celebrate the very best new homes in Britain.

Judges were especially impressed by the energy efficiency and sustainability of this environmentally friendly property and the thought which has gone into the interior layout, making it a highly practical home for larger families.

Barrhead News:

The six-bedroom property boasts a huge dining kitchen with study area and a vaulted garden room, as well as a comfy living room and snug which can be an office or even a home cinema.

It is the third prestigious award for the property, which was also named Best Show Home in two separate Scottish property awards earlier this year.

Sharon Spinelli, sales and marketing director at Robertson Homes, said: "This is a huge achievement. The Stewart Garden Room is quite simply a stunning home and for the judges of the WhatHouse? Awards to place it amongst the best three homes in Britain is phenomenal.

"Yes, it has the 'wow' factor but it is also a very cleverly designed and high-quality home and, for me, this award recognises the attention to detail which goes into every home in the Robertson range."
