A MAN was taken to hospital after suffering a head injury during a brutal assault in Barrhead town centre.
The 37-year-old victim was attacked in Cross Arthurlie Street at around 8pm on Saturday.
Police have issued an appeal for information.
A spokesperson told the Barrhead News: “We are carrying out enquiries after a 37-year-old man was assaulted in Cross Arthurlie Street at around 8pm on Saturday, November 19.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment for a head injury.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3080 of November 19.”
