SCOTLAND’S oldest and youngest contenders for the music charts shared a stage as they lit up an East Renfrewshire town for Christmas.
Eighties star Jesse Rae, 71, and singing schoolgirl Jessie-Lou Harvey are both releasing new singles this week.
Jesse and his EDM production duo Objectz will release a dance cover of Loch Lomond on Friday, while Jessie-Lou hopes to have a hit with her single A Christmas Wish.
Both singers performed at the Christmas lights switch-on event in Giffnock.
Jesse said: “It was great to meet wee Jessie. I can’t compete with her cute pigtails and wee glasses, so we spread some festive cheer instead.
"I’m hoping my upbeat version of five hundred year old song Loch Lomond will get other youngsters dancing away and can’t wait to play it at somewhere like Hampden Park.”
Jessie-Lou added: “I loved meeting big Jesse and hope his song Loch Lomond does really well in the charts but I hope mine does better.”
