A woman has been left devastated after losing a necklace that contained her dog's ashes.

Kelsey Parker was distraught to realise her gold chain containing the remains of her Staffordshire bull terrier, Ty, had vanished.

The 26-year-old, who lives in the East End of Glasgow, now feels like “part of him is missing” since the necklace disappeared somewhere between the city centre, Tollcross, and Parkhead.

She is desperate to get it back as the pet got her through "dark patches” and she wants to keep him close to her.

Kelsey told the Glasgow Times: “The necklace means everything because he was my baby.

“I wear it everyday normally so I feel a part of him is missing.

“Since I got two new dogs, I wouldn’t want Ty missing out on adventures and walks so wearing it helps me feel he’s still with us and included.

“I think I’ve lost it while either travelling to work in the city centre or around the Parkhead or Tollcross area when walking my two dogs.

“He was my best friend for 12 years after getting him on my 13th birthday.

“We were inseparable, he got me through some very dark patches in my life and for that I’ll always be grateful for him.”
