A BARRHEAD group which supports people with autism, as well as their families, is launching a new resource library.
The project, organised by the East Renfrewshire branch of the National Autistic Society (NAS), will provide a range of support books that were purchased thanks to a donation from the Barrhead Housing Association Community Fund.
A launch event will take place at the VAER (Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire) base in Kelburn Street, Barrhead, on Wednesday, August 31, from 10am until noon.
Branch members are also running a weekly ‘coffee break’ at which those living with autism can enjoy a cuppa, a cake and a chat.
