Police have made an arrest after a motorist was reported to have crashed into nine parked cars on a Barrhead street.
It is understood there was extensive damage to some of the cars, with the vehicle responsible being left at the scene in Divernia Way.
Officers confirmed that a 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident, which took place in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A police spokesperson said: "Around 5.10am on Wednesday, June 29, police were called regarding a road crash on Divernia Way, Barrhead, where a vehicle was reported to have collided with nine cars on the street, causing damage.
"A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged and is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged road traffic offences."
