A man has been arrested after police were called to an incident at a shop in Neilston.
It is understood the Lifestyle Express store, in the village's Main Street, suffered extensive damage as a result of a disturbance there at around 4pm yesterday afternoon.
Police confirmed that a 36-year-old man was later detained in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson told the Barrhead News: “Officers were called to a disturbance in Lifestyle Express, Neilston, at around 4pm on Wednesday, June 15.
"No-one was injured during the disturbance.
“A 36-year-old man was arrested and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.”
A message posted on the shop's Facebook page yesterday stated that the business would be temporarily closed while a clean-up operation takes place.
It added: “We will be closed for a few days as there was a lot of damage to the property."
