SHOPPERS in Barrhead are being encouraged to back a supermarket’s fundraising campaign to support medical research into food allergies.
Tesco is working with the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation to boost research by contributing 10p from every ‘free from’ product bought at the Kelburn Street store and online until Saturday.
The partnership also aims to increase awareness about the importance of clearly highlighting ingredients in food which can cause allergic reactions.
The foundation was launched by Nadim and Tanya Ednan-Laperouse, whose daughter Natasha died after eating a baguette containing sesame seeds not listed on the packaging.
