A BARRHEAD pub hosted a sponsored head shave and wax to raise funds for the Red Cross Appeal for Ukraine.
Customers, staff and friends of the Kelburn Bar, in Cross Arthurlie Street, raised £2,825.
The six customers and two staff who ‘braved the shave’ were Eric Burns, George Dunn, Kenny Ferguson, John Lee, Chic Lynagh, Anges Munro, Stan Purawec and Mark Taylor.
A further three customers – Craig McKinnon, John McCuish and Kenny Ferguson – chose to go through the pain barrier with the wax option.
Donna Martin, bar manager, said: “We have to thank Billy Sinclair, our barber, and Railway Cottage Nursery, Le Dance Studio, Downs Ability, Sinclair Hair Studios and Sonus Events for their support.
“A big thank-you to all who contributed by buying lucky card squares and sponsoring all those brave guys.”
