There was frustration for Neilston on Saturday as their match at Wishaw was postponed less than 15 minutes before kick-off.
The Farmer’s Boys had made their way to Beltane Park and announced their line-up but a late decision was made to call the game off, with a new date of Saturday, March 5, pencilled in.
Neilston now turn their attention to the visit of Premier Division outfit Cumbernauld United in the first round of the West of Scotland Cup on Saturday.
Kick-off at the Brig O’Lea is at 1.30pm.
Meanwhile, there was success for the club’s development side, who were in action against Cumnock on Friday night in Conference F of the Scottish Lowlands Development Football League.
An impressive hat-trick by Mitchell Rooney, along with a double from Dom Reilly and further strikes from Jonathan Gibson, Max Donnelly and Owen Wilson, secured a 8-2 victory for the talented youngsters, who occupy fourth place in the table.
