Arthurlie advanced into the last eight of the Scottish Junior Cup with a comfortable 4-1 victory at Gartcairn on Saturday.
The Dunterlie Park side have made a habit of scoring early on in games this season and went 2-0 up after less than 20 minutes when Gary Carroll provided from the penalty spot before getting on the end of Tam McGauchey’s cross to add the second.
Owen Ronald pulled one back before the break but the two-goal margin was regained ten minutes into the second-half when Carroll headed home for his hat-trick.
Darren Ramsay completed the scoring with a low shot as Arthurlie set up a quarter-final tie with Kirkintilloch Rob Roy in March next year.
Andy McFadyen’s side remain undefeated in all competitions this season and will be looking to carry on this form when they return to league business this weekend at Craigmark Burntonians. Kick-off at Station Park is at 1.30pm.
