LEITH will abuzz next weekend as EH6 Festival makes its return for a two-day shindig at The Biscuit Factory.

Some of the biggest emerging talents will perform across the Friday and Saturday, November 26-27, with club nights to follow as well.

EH6 had been due to take place over three days, with organisers later deciding to withdraw the Sunday.

The Friday will be headlined by Callum Beattie with The Pigeon Detectives bringing the house down on the Saturday.

Also appearing at both stages across both days are Mark Sharp and the Bicycle Thieves, Billy Mitchell, Connor Fyfe, Carly Connor, Joshua Grant, Scarlet Randle, Dovv, Berta Kennedy, Robin Ashcroft, Amie Huckstep, Parliamo, The Katuns, Tonto, Davey The Rah's, Moonlight Zoo, Cutchy Cash and more.

The club nights are hosted by Grand Master Flash (Friday) and Irvine Welsh (Saturday).

There is also the promise of a few surprise guests around the nearby pubs in the area.

Mike Ward, EH6 organiser, said: "We have someone for everyone; the line-up is diverse and has a whole lot of talent on.

"It feels great... I can finally get excited about it.

"We also have some special guest performances in local bars that will be announced on the day on our social media."

Speaking on the decision to take the festival down to two days, he added: "It's been a lot harder to sell than previous years, which is disappointing after such a poor two years for events - we had to lessen the risk.

"It is disappointing when the Sunday was such a class line-up."
