POLICE are probing two weekend road accidents in Barrhead in which one driver needed hospital treatment after her car overturned.

During the first incident at around 8.20pm on Saturday, three vehicles were badly damaged after colliding in the town’s Grahamston Road.

One woman was checked by paramedics at the crash scene but no one else required treatment.

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Enquiries are ongoing.”

A second accident in Cross Arthurlie Street, next to the Kelburn Bar, late on Sunday night is also being investigated.

Police were called to the scene after a car collided with a parked motor and flipped on to its side.

The 23-year-old female driver of the overturned car was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, for treatment.

The spokesperson told the Barrhead News: “Around 10pm on September 12, officers were called to Cross Arthurlie Street, Barrhead, following a report of a car having crashed into a parked car.

“One woman, aged 23, was reported for road traffic offences.”
