A MAN was found by passersby on a city centre street with a "serious head injury" following a late-night assault.
The 36-year-old male was assaulted on Hope Street at around 10.15pm on Tuesday, September 7.
Following the attack, he was found lying on the pavement by passersby and was taken to and treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary for a "serious head injury".
Police say that it is believed that there were many people in the area at the time of the attack and are keen to speak to those who witnessed the assault or can help with enquiries.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to a man in his late 20s to early 30s. He is described as being around 5ft 8in tall with shaved fair hair.
At the time of the attack he was wearing a navy t-shirt and shorts and was carrying a black drawstring bag with 'JD' printed on it.
Detective Constable Vhairi Mills said: “We believe a number of people were around at the time of this assault and we are asking them to come forward as they may be able to help with our investigation.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3748 of Tuesday, 7 September, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
