Images have been released of a man who cops believe could help in an investigation into an assault at Glasgow Central station. 

The incident took place on May 1, 2021 at around 4.40pm in the city centre station. 

British Transport Police have launched a search for a man who they believe "may have information that can assist ongoing inquiries" surrounding the incident.

He is described as white, with dirty, fair hair and of a muscular build at around 5ft 9in tall. He also had a tattoo sleeve on his right arm.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue zipper top, blue jeans and grey/white trainers.

British Transport Police said: "The man in the images, anyone who knows him or anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contacted officers at BTP at CoRE@btp.pnn.police.uk, or 0141775 5144 quoting reference 2100030318. 

"Alternatively, anyone with information can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
