FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a blaze at a Barrhead school.
Plumes of smoke were spotted coming from St Mark's Primary, in the town's Auchenback area, at around 9pm last night.
Three fire engines were sent to the Roebank Drive site.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were in attendance last night at a fire at a school in Roebank Drive, Barrhead.
"We got a call at around 8.53pm about a fire at the school in itself.
"Three engines attended. We left at 11.35pm. There were no casualties."
