A mum is hoping the power of social media can help reunite her heartbroken wee girl with the beloved toy bunny she has had since birth.

Poppy Logan lost the stuffed animal, known as Bilo, after she left Barrhead Asda between 10pm and 10.30pm last Wednesday (July 14).

The rabbit was bought by the youngster’s Nana when mum Charlene was pregnant five years ago and is grey and white with a pink nose.

“He’s very special,” Charlene told the Barrhead News. “Poppy takes him absolutely everywhere.

“If we are going to the park, she’ll put him in her bike on the front basket.

“He’s just like her wee pal. She’s been so sad and night-time has been horrendous because she takes him to bed with her.

“I couldn’t go through this again. It’s been awful.”

Despite one potential sighting and hunting everywhere, Bilo has simply vanished, but the 37-year-old is not giving up hope of getting him back.

“I would love to see him again I really would,” she added. “My gut is saying someone has picked him up and not realised.”

“She 100% left with Bilo at the main entrance. We parked on the main street.

“Someone said they saw a soft toy on the fence so I was away up at 11pm on Thursday night and right round the main street and The Foundry building but nothing.

“I just stay at the Hurlet along the road so if she’s dropped him there I would have definitely seen him the next day in my driveway.

“I know the power of social media so you never know. You’ve just got to be positive and he might turn up one day.”
