Busy road shut off by police amid ongoing incident
A MAJOR road has been taped off by police amid an ongoing incident.
Glasgow Road has been closed between Hurlet Road at Nitshill and Blackbyres Road, Barrhead.
No pedestrians or vehicles are allowed entry.
Several police vehicles are at the scene, with officers present.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 11am on Monday, 14 June, to a report of a road traffic crash involving two cars and a pedestrian on the A736, Glasgow Road, Barrhead, near the junction with Salterland Road.
"Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed.”
