A BARRHEAD thug who left a man scarred for life in a horror blade attack is facing a lengthy prison sentence.

Taylor Sutherley, 22, launched a savage attack on William Drummond at her home in the town’s John Street on October 2 last year.

She denied causing Mr Drummond’s injuries, claiming he had been attacked elsewhere before arriving at her home.

However, after a trial at Paisley Sheriff Court last week, a jury convicted Sutherley of assaulting the victim to his “severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of life.”

She was remanded in custody and will learn her fate on April 9 when she returns to court for sentencing.
