Coronavirus has claimed a further seven lives in East Renfrewshire
CORONAVIRUS has claimed another seven lives in East Renfrewshire, latest figures show.
According to the National Records of Scotland, the fatalities took place in the week ending February 21 and bring the area's total death toll since the pandemic began to 211.
Glasgow recorded the highest number of Covid deaths last week, at 34, followed by South Lanarkshire (29) and Renfrewshire (26).
The figures include all fatalities registered where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate and, as this includes suspected or probable cases, it differs from the lab-confirmed coronavirus deaths announced daily by the Scottish Government.
