East Renfrewshire residents are being asked to take part in a short survey about their knowledge of alcohol consumption guidelines.

Results from the research, being carried out by the East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), will help the area's health improvement team get a better understanding of how knowledgeable local communities are on the topic and whether it should be investing more cash in raising awareness of alcohol use.

Councillor Caroline Bamforth, chair of the East Renfrewshire Integration Joint Board, told the Barrhead News: “Our aim is to protect our communities from harm and promote positive health and wellbeing for all.

"By completing the short survey, you will be really helping us understand the knowledge of alcohol use and make sure we’re approaching this topic in a way that is tailored for the area.”

The survey can be found online at getinvolved.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk and will be open until Sunday, February 28.
