Police clamp down on speeding drivers
POLICE are staging a clampdown on speeding drivers in East Renfrewshire.
Community officers have been patrolling various locations, including Ayr Road, in Newton Mearns, after complaints from members of the public.
A police spokesperson said: “Our officers have been out where we’ve had speeding complaints. Please drive carefully.”
Drivers are reminded that Ayr Road now has a reduced speed limit of 30mph.
