A man has been charged with the murder of 45-year-old Paul McCarroll in Croydon on Friday.
The victim was found in Oaks Road in Kenley on November 20 suffering from severe stab wounds, and was declared dead at the scene.
Nicholas Jones, 34, of Oaks Road in Kenley, has now been charged with murder, and will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates Court on Monday, November 23.
Met Police say they were called to a residential address Oaks Road in Kenley to reports of a stabbing at 6:16pm on November 20.
The victim was found with fatal stab injuries, and despite the best efforts of emergency services he was declared dead at the scene at 6:50pm.
Paul McCarroll's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
A 34-year-old man, who police say was known to the victim, was then arrested nearby on suspicion of murder.
Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating, and a crime scene remains in place as enquiries continue.
