Nicola Sturgeon has announced which tier areas Scotland will fall into under the new five-tier lockdown framework.

The new system is to come into effect on Monday 2 November after the proposals were backed by the Scottish Parliament.

The tiers range from 0 to 4 with 0 being the lowest lockdown level - however this will still see some restrictions in place such as a maximum visitors into a household.

Grades will be given to local authority areas, rather than the current NHS health board restrictions currently in use.
