A woman was rushed to hospital after being attacked on a Baillieston street.
Police were called to the scene on Beauly Road at around 7.30pm on Tuesday after they received a report of a disturbance.
The woman was rushed to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to her injuries.
A 58-year-old man was also arrested and charged at the scene in connection to drink driving.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of an assault on Beauly Road, Glasgow, around 7.30pm on Tuesday, 15 September, 2020.
“A woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“Around 7.40pm, officers received a report of an intoxicated person operating a vehicle in Tantallon Road, Glasgow.
“The 58-year-old male driver was arrested and charged with road traffic offences and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
“A 45-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the alleged assault and later released."
