A TEENAGER allegedly punched, kicked and spat at police officers as he was arrested in Renfrew on Saturday.
Police were called to a disturbance in Jessiman Square at around 3.30pm after the 17-year-old suspect reportedly assaulted a 24-year-old man.
No-one was injured during the incident and the suspect was taken into custody.
He has been charged with common assault and four police assaults.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
