POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was found seriously injured in a Renfrew street after being assaulted in a nearby flat.
The 21-year-old victim was attacked in Dunlop Street at around 6.10am on Saturday and was located by police a short time later in Hairst Street.
He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, for treatment to serious injuries to his body and hand.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or saw the victim in the area to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Karen Boyd, of Paisley Mill Street, said: “We don’t have descriptions of the suspect or suspects in this case, however, we are appealing for anyone who may have seen the injured man or anything suspicious around that time to get in touch as any information could prove useful.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 1101 of August 1, 2020.
