A MAN has been left with permanent scarring after being attacked by two thugs in Johnstone.
The 26-year-old victim suffered a serious injury during the incident in Church Street at around 9.15pm on Friday.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, in Glasgow, where he received treatment.
The first suspect is described as in his late teens or early 20s, with dark hair and was wearing a grey tracksuit. The second man is said to have been wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a black t-shirt.
Detective Constable Liam Rodgers, of Paisley Mill Street, said: “The victim has been left with an injury which will cause permanent scarring.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and who saw anything suspicious or saw a group of young men around that time to come forward.”
