A WOMAN has been arrested after reportedly biting and racially abusing the owner of a Linwood convenience store.
It is claimed the 28-year-old suspect was causing a disturbance at Nisa Local, in Clippens Road, at around 5.30pm on Thursday and was asked to leave.
As staff attempted to usher the woman outside, she is said to have racially abused the 41-year-old shopkeeper and produced a knife from her waistband.
Police said a struggle then took place, during which the shopkeeper was bitten in the thigh.
The suspect was promptly arrested by officers and charged with possession of a knife, racial breach of the peace and two assaults.
She was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court yesterday.
