BARRHEAD Travel has started to reopen its branches after months of lockdown.
The company confirmed it is gradually allowing customers back into its stores, with an appointments system being introduced in order to adhere to Scottish Government guidelines on social distancing.
A spokesperson for Barrhead Travel said: “After carefully considered preparation, we’re pleased to notify you that we are now in a position to begin the gradual reopening of our branches.
“To ensure we keep our colleagues and customers healthy and be compliant with the current guidelines, we’ve made some adjustments to the in-store experience, including limiting the number of people in our branches and introducing an appointment system.”
Earlier this month, Barrhead Travel announced plans for redundancies as the tourism industry takes a massive hit due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The company stated that travel restrictions and quarantine had affected the confidence of its customers.
