Glasgow funnyman Gary Faulds has brought joy and laughter to hundreds with his 'Scottish border' sketch.

Gary takes on the role of a border patrol officer and asks the real questions to determine whether the drivers are welcome to Scotland

A narrator introduces the concept and says: "The Scottish border control is known to use range techniques to weed out the chancers.

"We see Gary put those techniques in action."

He stops the first driver and demands he identifies a square sausage.

Another driver is refused entry to Scotland in the skit for having the audacity to say Irn Bru "is not for him".

Gary responds to the driver who hands him the plastic cup filled with the beloved drink back and said: "What do you mean it's not for you, pal? This is the blood of Scotland!

"Nicola Sturgeon eats this with cereal. Turn it around," he adds.

The comedian told the Daily Record he was inspired by a protest which took place at the Scottish border last week.

Other chancers are turned around for attempting to sneak fruit north of the border.

An outraged Gary says in the sketch: "Fruit? Are you out of your nut, pal?"

Fans of the comedian added that they felt they were "in safe hands" with him carrying out the patrol.

One fan said: "Absolutely brilliant and we also know who is the best person for border patrol when needed."
