EAST Renfrewshire Council has changed the collection cycle for brown bins.
Those residents whose collections take place on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday will now find their brown bin being uplifted alongside their green bin.
However, for properties where bins are collected on a Thursday or Friday, the brown bin will be emptied along with their blue bin.
A council spokesperson said: “Our neighbourhood services team remain 25 per cent down due to guidelines on shielding, so we cannot resume the brown bin weekly collections yet, and this measure will reduce the volume we take to the garden and food waste site during one week.
“Green, blue and grey bins are now back on the normal three-week collection cycle.”
