Beloved scots singer Lewis Capaldi was spotted joining the first crowds as beer gardens reopened in Glasgow on Monday.

Capaldi joined punters at the SWG3 as the venue welcomed guests for the first time since lockdown began.

The venue welcomed 750 thirsty customers yesterday as Glasgow was treated to a sunny day.

SWG3's Galvanisers Yard - newly styled as Ronnie's Bar and Bike Shop - is being used as a 2500-square-feet beer garden, seating up to 250 people.

Glaswegians flocked to beer gardens across the city as lockdown restrictions finally allowed venues to open their outdoor spaces.

The Someone You Loved singer was featured in an Instagram post with the caption "ye love tae see it".

It comes after he brought joy to McDonald's staff in Forfar on Sunday by posing for a socially-distanced snap after picking up his order.

Staff members wearing masks posed in front of the Scots singer as he kept a safe distance.
