THE G84 Junior Netball Club in Helensburgh has presented trophies, certificates and medals to its young players to recognise their hard work, progress and passion for netball during the 2019-20 season.

Like all other sports clubs in the Helensburgh area, G84’s season came to an abrupt stop in March which meant all training, matches, cup and league fixtures were cancelled, and the under-15 team had to settle for their fifth place standing in the Glasgow Netball League after a strong start to the season.

However, since the lockdown came into force, the G84 coaches have provided a series of exciting, varied and often challenging Zoom training sessions for every age group to stay in contact with members and help them keep fit and healthy.

Trudy Johnson from G84 said: “Achievements across the club have also been recognised with players receiving a special certificate, all Nippers receiving medals and over 35 members getting trophies for their skills development, commitment, progression, and passion for netball over the 2019/20 season.

“The committee and coaches would like to offer a huge congratulations to all winners and cannot wait to see everyone back at training later this year.”
