PLANS for a new housing development in Renfrew have been given the green light by council chiefs.
Ambassador Homes will build 31 houses and 16 flats on vacant land in Wright Street, near the Houston Bottling and Co-Pack bonded warehouse.
The properties are set to be a mixture of detached, semi-detached, terrace and townhouses.
Planning bosses have, however, asked the Glasgow-based developers to meet a number of conditions before beginning work.
Councillor Jim Paterson, who represents Renfrew South and Gallowhill, said he will be keeping in touch with officers to ensure all these conditions are met.
He added: “I know there has been much local interest in this application and I am pleased that planning officers have included several conditions as part of the decision.”
