Investigation under way following an attempted murder in Barrhead
AN investigation is underway following a murder bid in Barrhead last night.
At around 8.35pm, a 29-year-old man was struck by a car in Stewart Street.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, for treatment.
Police have said a 23-year-old man has been arrested and their enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to call officers at Govan Police Station via 101 and quote incident number 3,875 of May 31. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be passed on anonymously.
