A HOST of online activities are being offered by East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure to boost the physical and mental wellbeing of people of all ages.

The fun includes free fitness classes for grown-ups, such as yoga and Zumba, as well as holiday camps for children of key workers.

Staff at Barrhead Library have hosted live Bookbug sessions on Facebook, while Peter Cameron (main picture) has been running Lego challenges online as part of his Busby Library ‘Brick-fast Club.’

There is also help for anyone who would like to research their family history, as well as a new reading group for discussions around ebooks.

Pressreader has also been made available to East Renfrewshire residents, with access to more than 7,000 magazines and newspapers from around the world.

Anthony McReavy, of East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure, said: “This is a difficult time for everyone but our team has been working hard to support the community, keep spirits high and help people to stay connected and active at home.

“We’re adding new content all the time, so we would encourage everyone to follow us and join in.”
