Police are investigating an alleged "attack" on a elderly dog walker yesterday.
A 72-year-old woman reported an incident at 3.20pm on Tuesday near the quarry near Fereneze Golf Club in Barrhead.
A member of the public told the Barrhead News the incident involved a crossbow, but police would not confirm this.
Officers said there was no injury to the woman and enquiries were continuing.
