AN online ‘wellbeing hub’ to help health and social care workers deal with the stress of coronavirus has been launched.

The promis.scot website is said to be the first of its kind in the UK, providing workers with resources to look after their mental health and recognise their own “warning signs.”

Funded by the Scottish Government, it includes a comprehensive guide to the support available to those who need it.

Health Secretary Jeane Freeman said: “The hub actively encourages people to make use of available services such as local NHS helplines for staff across health and social care services, including care home workers.”

Scotland is in lockdown. Shops are closing and newspaper sales are falling fast. We're not exaggerating when we say the future of local newspapers and the vital service we have provided for many years is under threat.
