EAST Renfrewshire Council is reintroducing recycling collections for green and brown bins.
Collections have been reinstated due to “staffing levels increasing” since the initial lockdown was introduced, however, blue bin collections will not be collected at this stage and recycling centres remain closed.
The weekly collection cycle throughout May will see green and brown bins picked up on normal collection days in weeks commencing Monday, May 4 and Monday, May 25.
Grey bins will be collected on the normal collection day in week commencing Monday, May 11 and Monday, May 18.
The teams will also be out collecting bins on the May bank holidays.
A spokesperson for the council said: “We are able to reinstate these collections because staffing levels have increased since the initial lockdown was announced, however they are not yet at a level to allow the resuming of normal service.
“Please keep an eye on our social channels and our dedicated coronavirus webpage.”
